Buniyaad is an Indian drama series which was broadcasted on DD National Channel in the Year 1986. Buniyaad depicts the effects of partition of India (1947) and its consequences. Buniyaad clearly pictured the life of Indians at that time. This series thrills us to the extent that we think we are living in that situation. The Partition makes the people to vacate their own houses and live in Refugee camps. Alok Nath acted as Master Haveliram, who was the main character in the series.
The show was broadcasted for two years and then it was re-telecasted by DD Metro and in SAHARA ONE in the year 2000. The Script was written by Manohar Shyam Joshi and the show was directed by Ramesh Sippy and Jyoti Sarup. Anita Kanwar played the role of Lajoji, who was the wife of Master Haveliram. The Show revolves around Master Haveliram’s family and how the partition plays with the family and his peaceful life. Rohan Sippy says that Buniyaad is a Benchmark of other serials produced in that time. The Script and the Story was excellent but the technology was nascent. There are so many people who watched this serial when they were young also watched this serial and commented about this serial. This serial aired successfully at Every Thursday in the DD National Channel.
