Hence, it is a re-told tale of famous devotees Sridhar Pandit and his pious wife Naina who has a faith in Goddess Vaishno Devi. On the other hand, there is an opposition to the devotion of Sridhar Pandit and Naina. There lives a tantric in the village named Bhairon Nath, who challenges the power of Goddess Shakti (Vaishno Devi) and gains some followers in the village. Even Sridhar’s brother Devdhar, who is headman of the village, falls into the trap of tantric Bhairon Nath. Bhairon Nath has a disciple named Gorak Nath, who persuades Devdhar to humiliate his brother and his wife.

Even Devdhar’s wife Kusum hates Suanaina as Sridhar was getting more popular with villagers for their devotion to Mother Goddess. What happens to Sunaina and Sridhar Pandit is the tale of this mythological serial. Ravindra Jain composed the music of serial's title song, and Shankar Mahadevan has sung the song. Even other singers like Kavita Krishnamurthy, Ehsaan and Loy, had given their voice for some songs in the serial. In this serial, Rupa Dutta played the role of Maa Vaishnodevi.
