Jai Mata Ki’ was a Hindu mythological series based on Goddesses Durga. The show was telecast on Doordarshan DD National where Hema Malini played the role of Goddesses Durga and killed the demon Mahisashur. The Jai Mata Ki show was presented by Cinevistaas Limited and Doordarshan, which was directed by Punnet Issar, who himself had played the role of Mahishasur in the series.
The series is produced by Prem Kishan and Sunil Mehta. It was telecast in the year 1999-2000. The Jai Mata Ki serial had cast even Vijayendra Ghatge in the lead role. Hema Malini, who was known as Bollywood's dream girl, played the role of Durga, Kali, Lakshmi, Parvati, Saraswati and other images of Goddesses Shakti in the serial.
