Superstars TV Show - Doordarshan DD Metro 9 Gold

Superstars TV Show was famous national talent hunt show hosted by film star Chunky Pandey. It was aired on DD Metro 9 Gold's Golden Hours in Year 2000.  The programme, was earlier aired every Saturday at 8PM, later rescheduled on every monday at 7PM, had three categories -- acting, singing and dancing. Winners of the show got opportunity to launch their careers, as Channel Nine Gold promissed to help them with singing contracts or roles in music videos.

The show was also directed and produced by Ken Ghosh, and became extremely popular between youth, as at that time there was very few talent hunt shows. When Nine Gold exits from DD Metro, and Star Plus bought their content at very high prices and telecasted most of the shows from 9 Gold Library, but shows like The Price Is Right, Bol Baby Bol, Directors Cut, Dushman, Superstars and Mini Superstars were never telecasted again on any TV Channel.
