Shaadi No. 1 TV Serial was a super hit comedy sitcom which was aired on DD Metro 9 Gold's Golden Hours in year 2000. The comedy serial was fully loaded with a huge number of fantastic comic actors of Indian television which left audience in splits. The storyline of the serial was written by Raghuveer Shekhawat, which revolved around the lives of eight married couples. The day to day happenings of their personal and social lives was shown here in a light and very humorous way.
The show was directed by Rajan Waghdhare, while producer of this show was Vihaan kohli. The very talented cast of this show who portrayed eight couples are as follows. Supriya Pilgaonkar and Sumeet Raghvan, Kamalaji and Bomi , Suresh and Tina, Firdaus and Hema, Geetha and Shekhar, Vinay and Monisha, Delnaz Irani and Rajesh, Ali Asgar and Aparna. These fantastic actors play the funny couples in this sitcom.
In every episode of serial a new storyline emerged, where different activities and different kind of Nook-Jhoonk took place in each couples’ lives and towards the end of the episode the problems were resolved and each person was happy with their respective partner. The couples in this show were shown to be from very different age groups, different regions and different ethnicities from different parts of India that contributed even more fun and disputes within them. The concept of the show was given by Neeraj Vikram and Binnaiferr Kohli. Later this popular serial was also aired on Star Plus and TV Asia.
