SEASON-5
Pyaar Tune Kya Kiya is an Indian television drama series. This show talks about love and the other feelings and situations that follow this blissful experience. It revolves around different stories, within the genre of romance and love, intertwined with each other in individually organized episodes. The element of love isn’t always just punctuated with romance. It is surrounded by drama, pain, loss, friendships, sins and plenty more. The real life stories showcased in this serial provide its audience with a colorful depiction of actual events that occur in the grip of love, and the situations that are faced by a lot of people by paradox, among friends, couples, and single people. The Season 5, which is being hosted by Parth Samthaan, is themed on “Love Aas Pass”.

This time, the series showcases new love stories, unraveling tales that are dressed with romance, drama, anguish, envy, friendship, greed, pain, lust and much more. The stories in this season took inspiration from people’s social lives and their neighborhood. Thus follows this season’s sub-topic: “Har gali hai sunati koi pyaar bhari kahani.” From the days of joyful celebrations to the nights of dreadful sorrows, neighbors always form an integral and valuable part of everybody’s life. And sometimes this journey takes on a course of love and romance, through which legendary love stories blossom.

This season parades with stories as such, which focuses keenly on this theme. This season showcases 13 episodes with different stories, focusing largely on the most intimate and intricate spaces of an individual’s social life and neighborhood friendships which end up in loving relationships. In the first episode, Ashwini Koul, of Warrior High, features along with Gurneet Chadha. This episode tells the story of Simran, not so good looking, but educated and talented, who is engaged to Rahul, a singer who finds Simran unattractive and is not interested in her. The second episode focuses on Sweta, who is to be married soon to Rajeev. However, all hell breaks loose, when Rajeev and his parents call off the wedding. Sweta, now shattered by the break-up, meets Anand, who is staying at her house as a paying guest.

The third episode is a tale of forbidden love between two people with different religious backgrounds. It tells the story of Sana, a Muslim girl, and Varun, a Hindu boy, and their love being hindered and distanced by social rejection or taboo. The fourth story portrays the cliché: opposites attract each other. But also at the same time, the story springs a twist, with another person being a perfect match for one. The fifth episode falls under the paradox that you should always let go of anyone whom you love, and if they return, that proves that they loved you whole heartedly. In the sixth episode, the east meets the west. It tells the story of Amanda, an American, who visits India to tour the countryside, and Manjot, a young, ambitious boy who is extremely dissatisfied being a Pizza, delivery boy.
The seventh story revolves around two sisters, Saumya, and Kiran. Saumya is in a hidden relationship with Shaunak. And when Deepak, the most eligible bachelor in town, as Saumya’s mother announces, is interested in her, she throws a fit. Meanwhile, Deepak falls head over heels for Kiran, when he visits their home.
The tale entangles with the fuss and complications that happen in this double love story. The eighth episode revolves around a story of a harsh breakup and the savior lover who finally heals the broken hearted. The ninth story tells a tale of opposite people crossing their paths in life, and how they end up with each other. The tenth episode walks on the road of the divide created in our society between the rich and the poor; and how difficult situations are faced by people who fall in love disregarding their social status or class. The eleventh story sparks up the jealousy that sometimes ignites in a friendship and how our actions may cause damage to several lives surrounding us.

SEASON-6
Karan Kundra is hosting the season 6 of Pyar Tune Kya Kiya, who is known for hosting this love-relationships kind of serials and the way he creates tension and suspense with his voice. He was the host for the infamous MTV serial Gumraah. Like the previous seasons’ episodes are full of background scores that are popular Bollywood love hits like Wajah Tum Ho, Yeh Fitoor Mera and others. The intro animation remains the same. Some popular faces like musician Amit Tandon and TV actor Aashish Kaul (Dr.Vikash in C.I.D) will be on the show. So a whole lot of things to look forward to. Now coming to the stories the season tries to up their drama and complexity with new concepts, involving issues like terrorist bombings, extra-marital affairs, lesbianism and others. Everyone will be affected and touched.

The show will continue to show and bring awareness among people- the horror, monstrosity and hypocrisy that linger in the Indian society. Hatred towards a black person, family pride, teacher-student fondness the series has it all. An episode is where a dwarf girl and a guy fall in love with each other and the family issues they will be going to face as their love get manifested in public. The show will definitely make people uncomfortable as usual (hey its parental guidance show don’t forget) with proving question whether or not there is a place for authentic love in the society. The one problem which I still feel is that the scenes are not very integrated with each other.

One scene does not automatically transit into another, and one can feel a gap which is very typical of Indian soap operas. There are many new actors who are trying their best on the screen which comes off as clearly visible. Though many issues are brought up and are very illustrious and heart-touching, but, the way they are handled are pretty Indian and old school, greatly demanding the need of some psychologist writer/editor may be. Though the stories are varied there is an underlying simplicity a slow start then a dramatic love tension followed by the problems and issues and finally a dramatic absolution. The show will not leave anyone starved that for sure. Other than that the show is fully nail-biting, deeply engrossing and full of passion. What more do you need? I am already onto watching all episodes again. Pyar Tune Kya Kiya is an Indian TV fictional drama series, directed by Saurabh Arora. The show is premiered at Zing channel. Season 6 consists of 19 episodes and the medium being Hindi.

SEASON-7
It is series that portrays different yet beautiful love stories of the modern world. It is a show that airs weekly on “ZING.” It begun on 23rd May 2014 and completed nine seasons. It is most popular among the teenage population. Counted amongst one the most popular youth shows, ‘Pyaar Tune Kya Kiya’ directed by ‘Sourabh Arora’ and written by ‘Rajat Mukherjee’ has grabbed attention through many of its episodes, not only the story but even the title track for the show took away many hearts. Many famous television artists have featured in various episodes, making them even more absorbing.

It is a non-fiction, real story based show which includes a host or two. The first three being hosted by ‘Surbhi Jyoti’ and ‘Meiyang Chang’, further fourth and fifth by ‘Smriti Kalra’ and ‘Parth Sam than’ followed by ‘Karan Kundra’ for the 6th season, 7th by ‘Neeti Taylor’ and ‘Siddharth Gupta’ , 8th by ‘Shaleen Malhotra’, ‘Abhishek Mallik’ and ‘Arjit Taneja’ and the last by ‘Prince Narula’. It broadcasts stories where teenagers or people in love take drastic measures in “Love.” In recent times, serials like these with multiple seasons with every episode being unique and different from the others are appreciated and grab a mass audience.
Pyaar Tune Kya Kiya, being one of the most watched serials of recent times has a huge mass audience. The show put up stories which were rare, strange or extremely unique which were the USP of the show. Also, the different star cast it had, ensured that people connect themselves to the show. It involved stories of teenagers, teachers, geeks, falling in love in a different yet surreal way.

The characters are so well written that anyone could connect to them. The end always portrayed society’s point of view on love affairs and how society has certain myths about certain relationships; How society’s judgments lead to extreme steps by the teenagers or for that matter, anyone who fell in love antagonistically.

It was successful in some way or the other in changing people’s perspective. I wouldn’t say utterly, but it took a major step towards it for sure. It gave courage to people who feared to fall in love and also, prevented harsh steps they might take. It always had the moral at the end of each episode that summarized the whole scenario and guided people of what can be done in such situations like these and the outcomes of being hyper and taking drastic steps in the name of love. In short, this serial gained popularity because of its simplicity and connection and completed nine seasons.
