Shama TV Serial was a family entertainer serial that was telecast on Doordarshan (DD1). It had Tom Altor, Benjamin Geelani and Vinod Kapoor in lead roles. Arundhati Aryaa played the title role of Shama in the serial. The series was directed and produced by Pramod Kapoor.
Bhakti Pendke was associated with the production of the serial as a creative head. Neha Kapoor was the associate producer and Vijay Saluja was the executive producer. The title song and the music composition was helmed by Anwar Hussain.
Lyrics were penned by Ibrahim Ashk. The concept and the story were designed by Rahim Sayyed. Virendra Bhushan was the supervising producer. Editing was done Rajesh Khemani. Paras Jaiwal had written the screenplay and dialogue. Sayeed Rahim had written the concept and the story.
The show was telecast on Doordarshan every week Monday to Friday at 12.30 pm. The serial was aired in 2011. Later the show has been diverted to afternoon slot (2.30 pm) daily Monday to Friday. There is suspense, murder, law, police in episodes to take the drama to a high level of curiosity. This serial was re-telecast on Doordarshan in the afternoon slot.
