The program “Main Kuch Bhi Kar Sakti Hoon” focuses on women power, and aired on Doordarshan DD National. It shows that a woman can do anything. Feroz Abbas Khan is the creator of the show, and Shradha Singh is the screenwriter. Sharmila Tagore and Soha Ali Khan endorsed it. The show wants to bring a change in society, and especially to increase women’s freedom and empowerment.
Main Kuch Bhi Kar Sakti Hoon took its inspiration from “Haule Haule”, a 22-minute film, commissioned by the National Rural Health Mission. Season 1 shows an inspiring journey of the protagonist, Dr. Sneha Mathur, who is a young, responsible, and confident doctor. She represents today’s Indian woman. She decides to leave her Mumbai career and move to her village Pratappur. She not only completes her family responsibility but also faces social challenges brilliantly which makes her a role model for all Indian women facing such conditions.
CAST
Dr. Sneha’s parents Keshav and Alka Mathur encourage their three daughters to be independent and believe that they can achieve anything. Keshav is a respected teacher, and Alka is the housemaker. Both remain worried about their son, Purab. Sneha’s elder sister, Seema, has made to undergo a sex determination test by her husband, Ravi, as he wants a male child. Preeta, Sneha’s younger sister, even after getting an acid attack, she does not lose her spirit and gets back to the game. She is a sports enthusiast.
Sneha’s Bua Ji, a child widow, is earlier confused about her intentions but later she helps Sneha to change the mindset of the society. The serial also shows Dr. Sumit, Sneha’s classmate from medical college, who also leaves a big city and works in Pratappur. He stands against all illegal practices of society like Sneha and wants to help poor and needy. He has a soft corner for Sneha. Arjun, a successful lawyer, loves Sneha, but both get separated due to ideological differences, but later he understands and follows her path.
Raghu is the person who attacks Preeta with acid, but Raghu reforms during his time in prison and decides to transform all adolescents. Dr. Jain is the chairman at Maanavta hospital. This hospital has been set up to serve poor people. Dedicated to the hospital, he is selfless.
