A retired newspaper editor lives with his wife. They live in a lavish, sprawling mansion which is placed along the seashore. The property is a treasure for their family. The man has sons who do not live with him. Because of the property’s location and its size, it is the target for many builders of that region. The constructors lure the sons of the family with money in return for the property. They are promised a huge sum if the bungalow gets vacated. Tempted by the idea of a lot of money, the sons sell the property and get the house vacated.
As the story proceeds, the sons understand the mistake that has been made and understand the value of what has been lost. This story highlights how greed and jealousy can overtake the values of a family and destroy it.
