The Sahara TV organised this show to minimize the distance between two different community groups. They introduced a new level of celebration with their show Bharat Parva. The main object of the event was to sharing the rich and diverse culture of India around the Globe.

In 2000, the event was started by the tune of Vande Mataram. The tune was played with striking laser show. Amitabh Bachchan and Jaya Bachchan gave special appearances in the show. This show also featured different actors and actresses like Aishwarya Rai, Shah Rukh Khan, Rani Mukherjee, Raveena Tandon, Karisma Kapoor and Aftab Shivdasani. They all performed in a group to show the power of Unity.
