Metro Gold´, otherwise called `9 Gold´, was a Hindi TV Channel in India, launched on 8th September 2000. ``Nine Gold´´ of ``Kerry Packer and Vinay Maloo HCFL - Nine Broadcasting India´´ and ``DD Metro´´ came together in a partnership for this channel, therefore named `Metro Gold´. `Smriti´ was a famous show aired on `DD Metro Gold´ in the year 2000. It was a mystery/thriller genre TV show. It telecasted on every Friday at 8:30 at night. The show begins off as a mystery as the main character Sandhya Dhanrajgir burns her face after a fatal accident. She feels devasted and abandons her better half Raj and two children were crushed completely. She undergoes plastic surgery.
As the doctor unwraps her face covered with bandages, her children and husband are completely shocked as they see a lady with a different face. She doesn't only have a new face, but she also lost her memory. Sandhya is re-dedicated Smriti. The thrill never fades. Sandhya, who had witnessed a brutal murder before the mishap, begins getting undermining calls. The mystery is taken to another level when a famous business tycoon claims that Sandhya is his wife, who has been missing from the past one year.
The female lead of the show is `Bhagyashree´. She did her debut opposite Salman Khan in `Maine Pyar Kiya´ in the year 1989. `Tushar Dalvi´ plays the role of Sandhya's husband, Raj. Tushar is a popular face and has worked in several Hindi and Marathi films and TV shows. He did a great job in the film `Madaari´, released in 2016.
