The Trap TV Serial - Doordarshan DD Metro

The Trap TV Serial (Later Known as Jaal The Trap) was aired in Year 2002, Tuesday to Friday at 10 p.m. on Doordarshan's DD Metro Channel, was another attempt at solving the classical murder mystery, and a part of final attempt to revive DD Metro, which was loosing the battle after DD Metro 9 Gold exits..

The story revolves around a girl who is the only witness to a murder. Hema is coming back from a birthday party when she accidentally witnesses a murder. She manages to escape but the killer traces her down and kills her. The police identify the killer but are unable to do much as he is a powerful goon from the Mumbai underworld. Hema’s sister Anuradha moves to Mumbai to bring the villain to justice. She meets a college friend Deepak who is now a police inspector. He agrees to help her out. 

Was Anuradha be able to track down the real killer or are there surprises and dangers lurking out there to get her? Was she on the right track or is she walking into a set-up? These are the basic suspense about this thriller. TV Serial "Hawayein" fame Actor Ravi Kishan played role of inspector in this serial, while actress deepshikha played the lead role very beautifully.

This serial was also produced by Sri Adhikari Brothers Television Pvt Ltd (SABTNL), as SAB played major role in reviving its old cash cow DD Metro by launching three shows. These three shows were Ravi Kishan Starred Hello Inspector, Tuesday to Saturday at 8PM, and Geeta Tyagi starred Kuntee, Monday to Friday at 8:30Pm, and Jaal The Trap, Tuesday to Friday at 10PM. The show was quite interesting but was not enough to catch eyeballs.
