Kissa Kathmandu Ka is a Hindi mini television series. The show falls under the hugely popular genre of Detective thriller shows. The show follows a young and promising detective named Feluda, who is born and brought up in the city of Kolkata. Feluda likes to travel to different places and he is accompanied by his cousin brother as well as an unofficial understudy named Tapesh. There’s also a third accomplice who is a prolific writer of thriller himself called Jatayu. The two of them always travel together with Feluda and at the same time help Feluda in solving cases.
This time the three of them are in Nepal. Feluda finds that there is a fake medicine racket that is going on in Nepal. He has come to Nepal, not as a tourist; rather he is here to catch a murderer. But as he starts solving the case, it starts getting more and more complicated. He faces lots of difficulties while trying to solve this. Feluda also comes face to face with his old enemy, Maganlal Meghraj in the city of Kathmandu.
The show has been adapted by the popular Feluda story, Kato Kando Kathmandute which was written by Satyajit Ray. Feluda is a character that was written by Satyajit Ray, who is considered one of the greatest filmmakers to have ever lived. He wrote many stories about Feluda and his adventures. The show was directed by Sandip Ray, the only child of Satyajit Ray. The show had a massive cast which includes Shashi Kapoor in the role of Feluda. The show featured on the popular Hindi channel, DD National, and released in 1986 and ran till 1987. The show was a huge success as the character of Feluda was already massively popular and also it was being played by the superstar Shashi Kapoor. All this made the show a hugely successful show.
