Intezaar Aur Sahi is based on Bimal Mitra’s Bengali classic ‘Eai Nara Deha’. Intezaar Aur Sahi - The story is based on the life of a girl, Vishakha who is being groomed by Kanaklata Mukherjee for her grandson Saumya. Kanaklata is a powerful woman, belongs to an influential business family. She has seen girls belonging to rich families are often arrogant. So, she grooms Vishakha, who is a simple middle-class girl, to become her future grand daughter-in-law.
Vishakha falls in love with Sandeep. Sandeep is an employee at the Mukherjee’s. They know that she will be marrying Saumya and therefore he sacrifices his love to see Vishakha happy. Saumya on the other hand, is a complete mismatch for Vishakha because of his egotism. All this creates a roller coaster of emotions and drama. Intezaar Aur Sahi was accompanied by a beautiful title track which is still loved by a lot of people. The show was aired on DD National in 1999.
