Being telecasted on Doordarshan every Saturday afternoon the show stands out for its simple narration and absorbing storyline. It was a 15-minute show every Saturday afternoon featuring Amol Palekar as a henpecked husband who never seems to stop inviting trouble.
The cast comprised of Amol Palekar, Harish Patel, and Ajit Vachani. The actor Amol Palekar was associated with TV which meant the only Doordarshan. In the year 1987-88 when Doordarshan was in the nascent stage, actor turned director Amol Palekar invaded the idiot box.
It was a golden era of television when several Bollywood film personalities had been exploiting the TV medium for showcasing good dramas on television. Even actress Sudha Shivpuri made her TV career debut with this serial ‘Aa Bail Mujhe Maar’.
